Spread the Love

Calling all Podcasters and Fans!

If you run a podcast and want to help spread the word about Daughter of the Sun, then have I got a deal for you! (Sorry, completely out of Snake Oil today. I know you’re disappointed.) Below is an audio trailer that I put together with the help of the great voices of a number of the gaming podcasts, including The Round Table, Gamer: The Podcasting and Does My Geek Look Big In This? as well as Chuck’s wife!

This one is 2:10 and as soon as I can, I’ll provide a couple of shorter ones for your use, also. I’ve got to thank David John for allowing me to use his wonderful music for the soundtrack.

What if you’re not a podcaster but still want to help? Read on…

How can you help?

Since Daughter of the Sun is published by me, there is no huge, New York publishing company backing this project with major marketing money. (Okay, so most first timers wouldn’t get that anyway!) What this does mean, though, is that you have a chance to be a huge help in getting the word out.

A Friendly Word

When you go see a great movie in the theaters, what do you do? You tell your friends about it, and then they probably go and see it, too. Right? I’m sure that many of you do the same for your favorite authors. If you liked Daughter of the Sun and know some friends that might like this type of a novel, then let them know about it and about how much you enjoyed it. Show them where they can buy their own copy, or let them borrow yours. If they like it enough, they will tell their friends and the circle will keep growing.

A Simple Post

If you have a website or blog and really wanted to let people know how much you enjoyed the book, then post a short review or a “You gotta read this book!” Simple.

Every time you tell someone how much you liked an author’s work, it sets a pattern in motion that your friends will probably follow, too. And every time you let someone know about a great new book, it increases the odds that the author can afford to stick around and write another book for you to enjoy, instead of taking up a second job just to pay the bills.

A Show of Bans

No, not the “You can’t come back to this bar, anymore” type of ban, but banners. If you’re going to be posting about the book anyway, make it appealing and easy for your readers and friends to find out more. Use the banners below on your website and link them to: http://www.LonnieEzell.com/.

Thanks so much for your help in letting people know about a new book you enjoyed!
